Swimming is one of the major events in 2016 Rio Olympics this August 5-21 at Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Aside from exciting and great swimming competition, swimming enthusiast is also looking out for the hottest and cutest swimmers that will compete in the said competition.
The competition will start on August 6, 2016, featuring the opening event of Men’s 400m Individual Medley, followed by Women’s 100m Butterfly, Men’s 400m Freestyle, Women’s 400m Individual Medley, Men’s 100m Breaststroke and Women’s 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay.
Here are some of the hottest male swimmers to look out for this 2016 Rio Olympics:
1. Ning Zetao
Ning Zetao is a Chinese competitive and professional swimmer who specializes in the sprint freestyle events. The 23-year-old, 6 feet and 3 inches swimmer were born in Zhengzhou, Henan, China.
His latest achievement prior to the Rio Olympics is at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships at Kazan, Russia, where he became the gold medalist in the 100-meter freestyle. At the 2014 Asian Games happened in Incheon, South Korea, he won gold medals in different events such as 100-meter freestyle, 4 × 100-meter medley relay, 50-meter freestyle and 4 × 100-meter freestyle relay.

2. Conor Dwyer
Conor James Dwyer is an American competitive and professional swimmer and London Olympics gold medalist. The 27-year-old, 6 feet and 5 inches swimmers were born in Evanston, Illinois.
He competes in medley and freestyle events. He won a gold medal in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay team in 2012 London Summer Olympics. In total, he has won eight gold, five silvers, and one bronze spanning the Summer Olympics, the FINA World Championships, the Pan Pacific Championships, and the Pan American Games total of fourteen medals in major international competitions.
3. Gabriele Detti
Gabriele Detti is a professional Italian swimmer. The 22-year-old Italian swimmer was born in Livorno, Italy. He swam in the 2012 London Olympics in the Men’s 1500 meter freestyle but he fails to qualify for the final round of the competition, finishing 13th overall in the heats.
4. Cameron McEvoy
Cameron McEvoy is an Australian competitive and professional swimmer who also represented his country at the 2012 London Summer Olympics. The 22-year-old, 6 feet and the 1-inch swimmer were born in Gold Coast, Queensland. McEvoy is a student of physics and mathematics at Griffith University.
Cameron McEvoy swam in the heats of the 4 × 100 m freestyle and 4 × 200 m freestyle relays at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Australia went on to finish in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
5. Adam Peaty
Adam Peaty is a competitive and professional swimmer and breaststroke specialist from Great Britain who will compete and represent his country this 2016 Rio Olympics. The 21-year-old, 6 feet and 3 inches swimmer were born in Uttoxeter, England.
He became the breakout star of the 2014 European Aquatics Championships for winning 4 gold medals for his country and setting two world records. In the 2014 World Short Course Championships, he won three silver medals in 50 meters, 100 meters and 4 x 50-meter mixed relay.
Just qualified for my first Olympic Games in Rio, really happy with my time saying I haven't had the same preparation as last year. These are only five swimmers who will compete this 2016 Rio Olympics. These five professional swimmers will have an important role in helping their countries achieve more medals in this Summer Olympics and to achieve more pride and glory for their countries.
