The United States of America had struggled the last three games but recovered in their quarterfinals match-up with Argentina on Monday. Team USA beat Argentina via a 105-78 blowout to set up a big match-up against Spain in the semifinals.
Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant led the way for Americans with 27 points and three other players finished in double figures as Team USA cruised to the easy win.
Paul George (Indiana Pacers) had 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 blocks, DeMarcus Cousins (Sacramento Kings) had 15 points and Kyrie Irving (Cleveland Cavaliers) had 11 points.

The losing Argentina side were led by Luis Scola (Brooklyn Nets) with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Manu Ginobili had 12 points and 7 assists in the possible final game of his international career.
The match-up against Spain is one of the most anticipated games in the tournament as they are the top two teams in the world rankings. The other semis match-up will feature Australia and the winner of the Serbia-Croatia match-up.
Team USA struggled in their previous three games with close matches against Australia, France and Serbia but dominated against Argentina.
The Americans had a 25-21 lead after the first quarter and opened it up to 56-40 by halftime. Team USA never looked back and remained undefeated in the basketball tournament in Rio.
