90’s kids, rejoice! One of Nick’s greatest comedy shows, “The Amanda Show” is coming back on TV.
It has been a while since the last time Amanda Bynes appeared on TV, and the next time she’ll be seen would bring in a huge wave of nostalgia for those who used to watch her comedy show, “The Amanda Show.”
The show will be airing again on June 10 at Nickelodeon’s “The Splat” which brought excitement to many kids who grew up watching classic Nick shows, with their re-runs of old shows like “Hey Arnold!”, “All That”, “Rugrats” , “Are you afraid of the Dark?” and “iCarly”.
TeenNick had a similar programming block to The Splat last 2011 called “The 90s are all that” that focused on 90s Nick shows. The Splat also has a website where everybody can talk about their favorite Nick shows and moments.
According to Keith Dawkins, NickToons and TeenNick’s executive vice president, bringing back the Amanda Show was an easy decision and he has always been impressed by and seen Amanda Bynes as a talented person even as a kid.
“Just bringing great humor, great narrative, great storytelling to a generation of kids who wanted that at the time,” said Dawkins.
The show includes hilarious sketches including Blockblister, Hillbilly Moment, Judge Trudy, The Girls’ Room, and one of everyone’s favorite, Crazy Courtney . (Ma-hah!)
Amanda Bynes has co-starred in The Amanda Show mainly with Drake Bell, and other talented stars such as Nancy Sullivan, Raquel Lee and Josh Peck.
