Bolt takes home gold
Whoever said Usain Bolt was done has lied. Bolt took home Gold in his final event at London winning the 200 meter with a time of 19.32.
After struggling, coming into London, people thought the Jamaican runner was finished. But when the lights came on bright, Bolt brought his “A” game with him and left everyone in the dust.
Bolt led his team to victory and said that he couldn’t have been happier to end the critics’ talk of him being done.
“It is the second time of running a world record with my team-mates and to do it again is an honor,” said Bolt, who was part of the Jamaica team that set a new 4x100m relay landmark at last year’s World Championships in Daegu.
The fastest man in the world knew he wasn’t done and knew he was struggling, but that didn’t stop him from competing. American runner Wallace Spearmon said that Bolt is just on a different level now.
“The guy is just on another planet right now,” said Spearmon.
