The aftermath of the Brangelina’s separation has sparked numerous theories, rumors and stories in relation to their breakup-from infidelity, drugs and Russian hookers. The latest rumor to surface online though, literally puts the relationship in the grave (for one of them at least), with Brad Pitt being the most recent victim of a celebrity death hoax.
According to sources, a message was circulated on September 21 through Facebook claiming that the Hollywood star had died by his own hands.
Internet users duped by the link were led to a fake news story about Pitt’s death. The article opened with the statement below.
“Brad Pitt, 52, a multiawarded American actor and husband of Angelina Jolie, 41, shot himself in the head at a shooting range on Sunday,” shared the site. “He was under significant stress because the couple ‘were going through a divorce and he had a history of depression’, sources have said.”
Other celebrities, including ex-wife also involved in suicide hoax like Brad Pitt
The same site has also been involved in other celebrity death hoaxes including a list of A-list stars like Vin Diesel, Nicolas Cage, Jaden Smith, Jim Carrey, Sylvester Stallone and John Cena.
The site was also behind the false rumor that Pitt’s ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, had also died in a suicide in early August.
The Hollywood actress made the announcement of their divorce on September 20 not citing any specific reason for their separation. Her first official statement shared that the “decision was made for the health of the family” and that she asks that the family be given its privacy at this time.”
Pitt on the other hand was clearly distraught by the recent chain of events. He also issued a statement to media regarding his separation from Jolie.
“I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids,” Pitt shared with reporters. “I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”
This obviously further proves that Brad Pitt is alive and well, but is probably slowly dying inside from the separation.
