The Raptors took control early in the game with a 13-5 lead over the Cavaliers. However, the Cavaliers did not let the Raptors dominate them completely and Channing Frye led the 15-7 run to get them back into the game. Kyle Lowry, who has struggled in the past games, exploded in the second quarter with 15 points. The Raptors stretched the gap and ended the first half with 57-41.

In the second half, the Cavaliers succeed in making some threes resulting for them to cut the lead to seven early in the third quarter. However, Bismack Biyombo continued his dominance under the basket and the Raptors kept on answering the Cavaliers’ attacks.

The Cavaliers gained their first lead 84-83 with 8:20 remaining in the game. The lead did not bother the Raptors to continue their good game performance, enabling them to end the game with a six-point lead.

“I’m a confident player,” said Lowry, who now owns the Raptors’ franchise record for 35-point postseason performances, to ESPN’s Doris Burke after the game. “I go out there and do my job. My teammates believe in me. My family, my friends believe in me. I just go out there and play basketball. At the end of the day, I can live with the critics and everything. I can live with it. I’m gonna keep working. I know how hard I work on my game, so that’s all that really matters.”

Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Toronto Raptors will be on Wednesday, May 25 at the Quicken Loans Arena.
