Cincinnati Bengals to be featured on HBO ‘Hard Knocks’ again
The popular show on HBO, Hard Knocks, is knocking on the Cincinnati Bengals’ door once again as the upcoming eighth season of the show will feature the Bengals.
This will mark the second time that Hard Knocks will come to Cincinnati. According to the Associated Press, the Cincinnati Bengals were hosted on Hard Knocks during the 2009 NFL season.
Last year, the Miami Dolphins were featured on the show, and the release of wide receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson highlighted the season’s series. This year, the Cincinnati Bengals will be featured with no Chad Johnson, but instead, a young and talented roster. The Bengals finished second in the AFC North last season but lost in the Wild Card game to the Houston Texans 19-13.
The Bengals have a very young and talented roster with the talented Andy Dalton leading their offense. Wide receiver A. J. Green has emerged as one of the league’s most talented wide receivers over the past few NFL seasons.
The Bengals will have a very difficult task this season as they try to make the playoffs for the second straight season. Cincinnati will have to compete in the tough AFC North division which features the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens and the hard hitting Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bengals have a tough schedule as they will play Green Bay, New England, and Indianapolis in addition to their AFC North foes, according to NFL.com.
Hard Knocks will premiere on HBO on August 6 and the path to hopefully another successful season in Cincinnati will be documented. The Bengals begin the NFL preseason on August 8 against the Atlanta Falcons in the Georgia Dome.
