College Top Recruit Said Facebook Made Recruitment ‘A Living Nightmare’
One of the nation’s top recruits from Philadelphia (Miss.) High, linebacker C.J. Johnson said he decided to log off Facebook because it made his recruiting process “a living nightmare.”
Before signing off, Johnson wrote on his wall, “This is my last Facebook post and I’m gonna leave facebook with this. Linda Johnson has never worked as a house worker making 100,000 dollars a year and I will not be a Mississippi state bulldog and I’m not considering Mississippi state anymore bc you have constantly comment on my page send me crazy inboxes and has made my recruiting experience a living nightmare. Goodbye facebook.”
This comes during an era when people are discussing how much social outlets like Facebook and Twitter can affect college recruiting. Johnson was by far not the first but unfortunately may not be the last, unless privacy is enhanced immediately.
