Deron Williams ejected from game against Rockets
Saturday night the Brooklyn Nets started out strong against the Houston Rockets, the game ended with the Rockets winning 119-106.
Deron Williams had an amazing first quarter but ended up getting ejected in the final seconds of the game for arguing with a referee.
According to The NEw York Daily News, Williams would not answer questions after the game. His coach, P.J. Carlesimo, said, “The referee said Deron said something to him and he threw him out.”
Jeremy Lin scored 14 points, eight of those points were in a three minute stretch during the fourth quarter. Lin completely controlled the pace of the game during that time.
Williams however had a better night than Lin with 27 points 20 of which were in the first quarter, 11 assists on 10-of-15 shooting. Lin however also had James Harden who finished with 29 points and Omer Asik had 20 points.
Lin commented on how fast the Rockets were playing, “I think we’re younger and play with more pace. (The Nets) are pretty far down in the pace rankings because they do a lot of isolations and post-ups.”
