Diamondbacks beat Orioles 5-4 in 14 innings
The Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the Baltimore Oriole 5-4 in 14 innings on Wednesday.
According to MLB.com, Diamondbacks second baseman Aaron Hill singled up the middle off Bud Norris to score Gerardo Parra with the game-winner in the 14th inning. The Diamondbacks swept the series against the Orioles.
“Bud’s got great stuff,” Hill said. “I know he’s been pitching well and he’s been locating a little better than in the past. So for me it was just get the ball up and see if I can get something I can drive, and I got a fastball middle-away and put a good swing on it.”It was also the third straight game the Diamondbacks won on a walkoff hit.
According to CBS Sports, the Orioles led all three games entering the seventh. Hill also helped the Diamondbacks in the ninth inning when he tied the game with a single off Orioles closer Jim Johnson.
“These last three days have been a lot of fun,” Hill said.
The Diamondbacks have 10 walk off wins and are have 27 one run wins which leads the majors.
