“Having defeated Boo, Goku is starting to get bored with his life on Earth. His wife, Chi-chi, wants him to get a job, but all he wants to do is train and fight stronger enemies. Elsewhere in the universe, the God of Destruction, Beerus, and his attendant Whis are traveling from planet to planet in search of food and entertainment. After blowing up some hapless victims, Beerus is reminded of a man from his dreams with the moniker “Super Saiyan God,” or something like that… The God of Destruction sets his sights on Earth to track down this mysterious man! Maybe this will give Goku something to do?”

For those who know the Dragon Ball Super TV series, the storyline of the English version of the manga is the same. Beerus, who is a God of Destruction, will travel together with his attendant, Whis, to find the powerful opponent described in the prophecy.

Beerus is not really an opponent of the Z-fighters. His job is to destroy planets every time he wakes up from a deep sleep. He is very powerful that he can destroy an entire planet with a blink of an eye. All the Super Saiyans on Earth, including Son Goku, Vegeta, Son Gohan, Trunks, Son Goten, and Pan (in Videl’s womb), will combine all their powers to form the ‘Super Saiyan God’.
