Ed Reed unsure when he will play, suggests hip surgery is Tom Brady’s fault
Well here’s a shocker: Ed Reed is hurt and unsure when he will play for his new team in Houston. Any rational Ravens fan could have told the Texans that Reed’s hip wasn’t right, but hey, you win some you lose some. Now Reed is blaming Tom Brady for causing the injury in the first place.
“Only play I can look at is when I got kicked by a certain quarterback but even then I played in the Super Bowl and you saw what happened there,” Reed told the Houston Chronicle. “Even then I had two MCL sprains, a second degree one in the left in the Super Bowl in the first quarter and played through that. So if you’ve got any questions about my heart and how I play and how I work.”
Brady was fined $10,000 for the kick.
According to ProFootballTalk, the Texans didn’t know there was a possibility that Reed’s debut with the team would be put on hold from a torn labrum before signing him.
While it can be debated whether or not Brady’s kick had anything to do with Reed’s hip injury, the argument is irrelevant. Houston should have known it was going to be a problem, and should continue to expect ailments on Reed’s body to pop up all season.
