In the midst of her divorce proceedings with ex-husband Johnny Depp, Amber Heard has been defended by her ex-girlfriend Tasya van Ree when an incident during their past relationship has been resurfaced.
Amber Heard’s request for a domestic violence restraining order against estranged husband Johnny Depp where Depp is required to stay 100 away from Heard until the next hearing has been recently granted, but wine has been added to the fire as the issue of Heard being charged with domestic violence has been brought back.
In 2009, Heard was reportedly arrested for domestic violence against ex-girlfriend Tasya van Ree as Heard allegedly grabbed and struck Van Ree in the arm in the middle of their argument at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
Heard was released moments later, as TMZ reported that the prosecutors waived off the case as both Van Ree and Heard are residents of California and nit Seattle.
However, Van Ree defended that what really happened was a misunderstanding and Heard was wrongly accused by two people in a “power position.” She added that these two people showed misogynistic and homophobic attitudes when they found out that she and Heard were more than friends.
Van Ree expressed her dismay that Heard’s 2009 story is again in the heat and being questioned, and shared good words about Heard who she was with for 5 years.
“Amber is a brilliant, honest and beautiful woman and I have the utmost respect for her. We shared five wonderful years together and remain close to this day,” said Van Ree.
