American Horror Story: Roanoke Episode 6 is a game changer for this season, even for the whole franchise, and the latest teaser trailer holds major clues.
Ever since showrunner Ryan Murphy revealed that episode 6 of the current season of American Horror Story would feature a shocking twist that would change everything, fans of the anthology horror series have been waiting all season for episode 6 to come.
With episode 5 of Roanoke already finished airing last night, fans were bewildered with how the story ended. The show’s fifth episode ended in a surprisingly conclusive manner, wrapping up the story of Shelby (Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe) and Matt (Cuba Gooding Jr and Andre Holland) and their struggles from the ghosts of Lost Colony of Roanoke trying to force them off their land with violence.
However, this is all according to plan says co-creator Brad Falchuk in an interview with EW last September. “No matter what you think it is, it’s not that,” says Falchuk. “Episode 5 ends and you’re like, ‘What happened?’ Then episode 6 comes and you’re like, ‘Wait, what happened?’”
The show is slated to have 10 episodes this season and with the previous story seemingly ended, a new story will unravel in the next 5 more episodes left. A new teaser for next week’s episode is recently released which showed actor Cheyenne Jackson playing a producer for My Roanoke Nightmare show. He is being followed by the camera crew and tells them that “the camera never stops, no matter what happens.”

This means that in the next 5 episodes, the storyline will be a documentary-style story in the likes of Blair Witch Project. Basically, the new story will still feature Matt and Shelby but this time they will be played by former interviewees Andre Holland and Lily Rabe. They will be followed by a camera crew to document the “real” events that will happen in the coming episodes.
Whatever the case, fans will have to tune in for next week’s episode of American Horror Story: Roanoke which will air on October 19, 2016, first and exclusive on FX Networks.
