One of the most awaited scenes in the popular TV series CW’s Arrow is the romance between Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak. It remains a puzzle to the viewer’s mind if Oliver and Felicity will be back in each other’s arm in the next season since Team Arrow was split up in Season 4.
The supposed engagement of Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak was postponed due to inevitable happening at the end of Season 4. While there are speculations that a third party may come in to ruin the relationship of the Arrow’s lovers, the fans can’t help themselves to ask a question about what will happen to their future relationship. Will Oliver Queen marry Felicity Smoak?
“I don’t know,” Amell says of whether Oliver will wed Felicity. “I know that it was important, especially at the end of season four with everything that happened and with Laurel Lance’s death that their relationship get put on the back burner because I think that there were more pressing issues, obviously. So, I don’t know what’s gonna happen in season five. I do know that… I don’t believe that they begin season five together, so we’ll see where it goes from there.”
On the other hand, Stephen Amell also revealed something about how the storyline of Arrow Season 5 will unfold. He said that fans should expect similar transition with Season 1 and 2. The first two seasons are said to be containing the pieces of information that will be used in Season 5 including the new villain that they will encounter soon.
“Our villain is going to in a lot of ways be a call back to season 1 and that’s something that you can do when you’re in season 5 and i think that the villain we have coming in is really going to ground the show and take us back to some of the elements that we had in the earlier days before we introduced so many fantastical elements to the Arrowverse.” Amell said.
According to iDigitalTimes, the new villain will be ‘superpowerless’ and a new vigilante should be expected on Arrow Season 5. While the details about the new characters are not yet revealed, it will surely make the next season more thrilling and exciting.
Arrow is expected to return for its fifth season this fall on CW together with other DC Comics TV show The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow.
