The third season of Bloodline will reportedly be the show’s final run with Netflix, but sources are indicating that its creators are making it the best among the rest. Netflix vice president of original content Cindy Holland even commended creators Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler (KZK) as the “thoughtful and visionary storytellers” who promise to deliver a riveting end for the series.
“We are looking forward to the exciting climax KZK have in store for the series conclusion in May 2017,” Hollard said in a statement shared with Variety. According to the interview, Bloodline season three will consist of ten episodes, and hopefully (especially for fans) could be picked up by another network.
In the meantime, rumors are already beginning to circulate about the possible storyline for the upcoming season. Online speculation is suspecting that Nolan Rayburn will be exacting revenge on John Rayburn this season for the murder of his father.
As many fans would remember Danny Rayburn was killed by John last season by drowning him in the ocean after a string of weird behavior and ominous signs prompted the latter to take action against his brother.
Nolan to turn out like his father in Bloodline Season 3
In Nolan’s pursuit for the truth, rumors are also circulating that he may eventually cross-over to the bad-side and “fall into the same murderous pattern in Bloodline, like his father and uncle.” This may mark a drastic change for his character whom many saw had already become well-adjusted to his family at the end of the show’s second season.
Creator Glenn Kessler did provide hints, though, that Nolan may be rekindling and developing deeper relationships with his loved ones in season three.
“Danny was always going to die, like in Crime and Punishment and other stories where it happens early,” stated Kessler in an interview with Deadline. “Bloodline is about watching these relationships evolve.”
Sources have confirmed that Owen Teague, who plays Nolan in the show, will also be joined by Kyle Chandler, Norbert Leo Butz, Linda Cardellini and Sissy Spacek in the new season.
