Bruno Mars announces third album, releases first single ’24k Magic’ from new album

Bruno Mars is back with a new explosive album and the first single is due to be released this coming Friday.

The Grenade singer frequently strikes pop gold and fans have been clamoring for his return to the music industry although he was not really absent considering his 2014 chart-topper Uptown Funk with Mark Ronson becoming the second longest-leading No.1 on the Billboard charts.

But during his three-year hiatus, Mars has been busy collaborating with other artists that made people wonder whether the Just The Way You Are hitmaker will release a new album.

Now, the fedora-wearing performer is gearing up to return to the playlists with his highly anticipated new single 24K Magic (24 Karat Magic) or what he describes as “an invitation to the party”, expected to be released on Friday, Oct. 7.

Along with the announcement, Mars also has been hyping up fans on Instagram and Twitter with hints of his forthcoming album. “Excited to announce 24K Magic, out this Friday,” he captioned one of his Instagram posts. “You can call it my first single, but I call it the invitation to the party.”

The singer-songwriter has yet to make an official announcement about a new album, his follow-up to 2012’s smash hit Unorthodox Jukebox, but he said to the fans via Twitter that his “album is done.”

There is little information about Mars’ new album, but according to Skrillex via an interview with Billboard, they have been working on a new material that will be included in Mars’ upcoming album. He did not give specifics on the new album but promised that it will be “different, awesome and next level and sounds like nothing else that’s happened before.”

An interview with Complex also confirmed that Mars’ new album will be released soon as Skrillex said that their collaborative efforts extend past just one song, with the DJ/producer contributing a great deal to Mars’ upcoming album.

The same day the Complex interview went up, Bruno Mars announced via Twitter that his album is done and although there was no release date yet, the fans can be rest assured that the wait is finally drawing to a close.
