‘Dancing with the Stars’ has a happy engagement and sad double eliminations

Dancing with the Stars pro-Emma Slater might have been eliminated from the competition, but she probably does not mind too much anymore.

The Tuesday episode was already going to be exciting since it was a double elimination episode, but the most exciting part was that a surprise engagement was being planned by pro-Sasha Farber to his girlfriend and fellow DWTS pro-Emma Slater.

A week after Slater and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R), her dance partner, were eliminated from the show, she returned to perform a contemporary dance with her boyfriend Farber.

The duo did a gorgeous routine and kissed at the end, at which point host Tom Bergeron slyly said that Farber had the potential to host the show while handing him the microphone.

“I’ve wanted to do this for such a long time,” Farber said to Slater following the routine. “I love you so so much,” he added as he kneeled and produced a ring from his back pocket. He then popped the question to which Slater said yes and soon after, the entire DWTS cast rushed on stage.

“I will never forget this moment.” Slater captioned her Instagram photo. “Best day of my life.”

After the amazing moment, it was again back to the tough business of eliminations. Allison Holker and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds were unsurprisingly in jeopardy, and so was Sharna Burgess and James Hinchcliffe, as well as Witney Carson and Vanilla Ice, and along with Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko.

In the end, it was Allison Holker and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds along with Witney Carson and Vanilla Ice who were both sent home.

“I got a chance to dance with my mom, and my mom is proud that I came out here,” Babyface said after the boot.  “I did the foxtrot. I did the jive. I did the Argentine tango.”

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
