Good news for One Direction lovers. The band is ending the year on a high note after topping the Forbes list of Highest Paid Entertainers under 30 in 2015.
According to the Mail Online report, the band comprising of Harry Styles, 21, Niall Horan, 22, Liam Payne, 22, and Louis Tomlinson, 23 have beaten the likes of Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran to top the Forbes list by bringing in a staggering amount of $130 million between them.
The impressive amount is due to the band’s touring schedules and merchandise sales between June 2014 and 2015.
The band played 74 dates which helped them reach the seven figure number.
The former alumni of X Factor gave an emotional performance at X Factor’s finale last Sunday before going on an extensive break next year.
Taylor Swift took the second spot at Forbes list by making $80 million last year with her 1989 World Tour, which featured songs from her fourth studio album of the same title.
Swift’s 1989 was also the top selling album of 2014, selling 3.6 million copies worldwide.
29-year-old Lady Gaga who is engaged to actor Taylor Kimney came a close third accumulating $59 million following the 66 tour dates she played within the year, many of which were joined by singing legend Tony Bennet.
The Monster hitmaker also earned big bucks from her endorsements deals with companies like MAC cosmetics and Versace.
Grammy Award winning singer and British sensation Ed Sheeran also figures in the list at number four. The 24-year-old’s 154 stop X Tour saw him amassing a fortune of $57 million.
The Hunger Games’ lead actress and Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence follows closely behind at $52 million while rapper Drake, 25, earned $39.5 million.
Musical duo Florida Georgia Line made up of Bryan Kelly and Tylar Hubbard, Rihanna and Skrillex are placed in the seventh, eighth and ninth spot each earning $36.5 million, $26 million and $24 million respectively.
Wiz Khalifa is placed at the tenth spot who earned $21.5 million this year.
