Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 8 titled ‘No One’ mainly focus on Arya and the siege at Riverrun. However, several things happened that made the viewers thrilled including the epic entrance of Daenerys Targaryen, Jaime-Brienne reunion, the Hound’s appearance, and when Cersei said: “I choose violence”.
Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 8 started with Arya being helped by Lady Crane to tend his wounds. Recalling in the past episode, Arya was repeatedly stabbed by the Waif in Braavos. Lady Crane offered Arya to join them but Arya refused. Some may think that this could be the ‘new challenge’ referred by previous rumors. Unfortunately, it was not.
Cersei Lannister was confronted by the Faith Militant and threatened her about the Lord’s command. Cersei bravely said: “I choose violence”, leading one of the Faith Militant’s lackeys being brutally killed, separating his head from the rest of his body.
The Hound was also shown in the episode killing the ‘Brothers Without Banners’ like he was chopping woods. While roaming in the forest, he accidentally met Beric Dondarrion and Thoros of Myr. Beric asked him to join them in their mission but he seemed to decline the offer.
The siege at Riverrun came to an unexpected outcome where everyone predicted that it will be a bloody massacre. However, the Blackfish turned out to be the only casualty. Many did not believe that the Blackfish was really dead since the episode did not show him fighting.
Ser Edmure ordered his men to find the Blackfish and this might be the hint that Blackfish’s death was fake. Another exciting scene in the episode was the reunion of Jaime Lannister and Lady Brienne. Brienne asked a favor to Jaime and the latter granted her wish. However, Brienne failed to ask the Blackfish to surrender leaving Jaime to use his ‘Plan B’, which was a success.
When The Master’s Army started attacking, Grey Worm decided to stay in Tyrion’s Pyramid to wait for the enemies and fight there. The Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen, made an epic entrance with a dragon backing her up. Unfortunately, that was all for Dany.
Many were expecting that the Waif’s chase for Arya had ended. However, the Waif showed up killing Lady Crane and turned her attention to Arya. Arya tried her best to escape but was caught in a dead end. Luckily, Arya was prepared as she got her sword under the cloth, stripped the candle, and finally killed the Waif.
