Justice League movie cast gets Game of Thrones’ Kristofer Hivju. From a Wildling warrior Tormund Giantsbane, he now becomes a king from the ancient Atlantis.
As it stands, Norwegian actor Kristofer Hivju will play one of Atlantis’ ancestors. The clue to Kristofer’s casting lies in one of the production office’s concept art posted on its walls, IGN reveals. The concept art says Atlantis king on its label.
If the rumor proves true, we will see the Wildling warrior temper his wild ways as he plays an Atlantis king. His character will take an important role in the Mother Boxes storyline.
Amazonians, Atlanteans and Mankind each had one for safekeeping. To understand the Mother Boxes technology and how it figures in the Justice League world, the film will feature a prologue. It will explain the Mother Boxes’ origin and importance to the heroes and their mission, Collider notes.
The film will feature a congregation of earth’s greatest heroes form Justice League to combat a larger-than-life crisis and the Mother Boxes will play a pivotal role in their mission.
While Hivju’s casting is yet to be announced, fans will him on screen next for Game of Thrones’ episode 10, The Winds of Winter. Kristofer is also currently filming for Fast 8 where he will play a villain.
Meanwhile, Jason Momoa who played Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones will play Aquaman in Justice League.
The Justice League film also shares its cinematographer Fabian Wagner with Game of Thrones. Wagner was the director of photography for the Game of Thrones’ recent episode, “Battle of the Bastards.”
The latest Justice League film will hit theaters on November 17, 2017 opening. Directed by Zack Snyder, the other Justice League movie cast will include Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Amber Heard will play Mera while Jesse Eisenberg might play Lex Luthor again.
