Lamar Odom News Update: He Can’t Walk Due to Memory Loss?

It’s been more than two months since former NBA great Lamar Odom was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel after suffering from a heart attack and number of strokes. And as updates begin to pour in, Lamar has a long road to recovery.

According to a source as reported by ET, Lamar is not in a very good condition.

“He’s not doing great,” the source tells ET.

“His speech is still slurred and he can barely walk on his own yet. He forgets a lot of people’s names-sometimes even his own. He definitely has some memory loss.”

Lamar was found unconscious after a night of heavy partying at a Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada on Oct. 13. He has since been undergoing intense therapy after coming out of a coma. Authorities suspect that he may have overdosed on a controlled substance. During that time, Lamar was going through a rough time as Khloe Kardashian filed for a divorce from him after reports of his infidelity surfaced.

The ET report also mentions that the Kardashian family are regular visitors at the hospital.

“They all pop in to see him [at Ceders-Sinai Medical Center], including Khloe,” the source tells ET.

Although Khloe is currently dating Houston Rockets’ guard James Harden, she regularly visits Lamar at the hospital. Last month, she revealed that she was suffering from a staph infection which prevented her from visiting Lamar in the hospital. She also had to cancel the book tour of her new book Strong Looks Better Naked due to the infection.

While speaking to Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show The Ellen Show last month, Khloe revealed that Odom is “off all machines that help his organs”.

“…but still he has such a long way to go. He’s learning how to walk again and feed himself again and put sentences together. Cognitively, it’s a long, long road ahead,” Khloe told Ellen.

“We tell him he had a brain injury, I can’t tell him how that brain injury was caused, because it will set him back.”

“He’s really confused a lot, we have to remind him, every day is different. Sometimes he knows who the President is, or his birthday, and then other times he thinks he’s 26, and I say, ‘I bet you wish you were 26, so do I.'”
