Lindsay Lohan really knows when to take the spotlight again, but the “Mean Girls” actress is not in trouble with the law rather this time it’s about dismissing rumors about her supposed engagement with Russian heir Egor Tarabasov.
TMZ first broke the news Tuesday stating that Tarabasov popped the question to Lohan over the weekend followed by a picture that saw Lohan showing off the ring. It also stated that the 22-year old Tarabasov spent the Holidays in New York with Lohan’s family and was given the seal of approval by the parents of the 29-year old actress.
However, the supposed engagement was denied by no less than Lohan’s representative Hunter Frederick. He told People that the story is not true and his claim was backed by a long time friend of Lohan.
“The story is untrue and holds no merit,” Frederick said.
But one thing is for sure, Lohan and Tarabasov are moving in together in London, source close to Lohan stated. The friends explained that Lohan is keeping a low profile in London, where Tarabasov is now working.
“She’s in a really good place. She’s made a new life for herself. They are moving in together to a bigger place, and they seem to be getting more serious. She seems really happy,” the source added.
Even E!Online also reported that Lohan’s engagement with Tarabasov is a hoax and that the two are not yet getting married any time soon. The report also stated that if the engagement were true it would have been posted on Lohan’s social media accounts as she would document significant events happening in her life.
Last month Lohan was interviewed by The Sun and revealed that she does not quite know Tarabasov that well yet, but described the Russian heir as a “great guy.”
“I haven’t known Egor for that long. We’ve been together for about seven months. He is a great guy. I met him in the summer. I’m really happy,” Lohan explained.
Now that things are settled, fans and families of both Lohan and Tarabasov are still awaiting if ever the two would decide to settle down. Many seem to attest that Tarabasov is a good influence to Lohan, who ended her probation last May 2015.
