Lucifer Season 2 Rumors: OneMillionMoms war on Fox’s hit series backfires?

It seems that OneMillionMoms strategy on stopping the airing of season 2 of Lucifer is not gaining traction to their advantage. Rumors are swirling that more people are curious about what the entire buzz is all about on Fox’s hit police procedural series.

Lucifer Season 2 starts airing on Sept. 19 and curiosity is already building up. The official Twitter account, “Lucifer Writer’s Room,” has been releasing titles of episodes to come. OneMillionMoms, supported by the American Family Association, has called for Fox to cancel the show saying that it only dignified Satan.

The group specifically noted the response that Lucifer (Tom Ellis) told Amenadiel (DB Woodside) when confronted with going back to hell. What annoys the group is that the show projects Lucifer as a caring and likable person.

“‘Do you think I’m the devil because I’m inherently evil or just because dear old Dad decided I was?’ The question appears to make people rethink assumptions about good and evil, including about God and Satan,” the group posted on their website.

The group grows concern on what the show is telling its viewers that Lucifer was just misunderstood and it was God who forced him to play the “bad guy” image. They added that the show is spiritually dangerous especially for those whose faith is a bit shaky at times.

Showrunner Joe Henderson has no comment yet to the sentiments of OneMillionMoms as they are busy in promoting the show. Henderson told that Season 2 will have Lucifer working closely with Amenadiel. He added that aside from finding mom, fans and viewers should also be excited about inter-character romance.

Henderson added that Tricia Helfer managed to embrace her role as mom – Charlotte, perfectly. He explained that the inter-character romance meant to spice up the show as they would still stick to the main storyline which is about mom.

“We will be building to some inter-character romances. For the beginning of the arc, it’s mostly dealing with mom here and what that does to us. But we’re definitely laying some seeds in the further half of the season that we build to,” Henderson said.

OneMillionMoms continue with their battle cry to stop the airing of Lucifer. The group is bound to spread the word of taking action against the show that seeks sympathy for the Devil. No matter what happens, in the end, Lucifer Season 2 is sure to make headlines when it returns to the small screen.

One Million Moms aka American Family Association aka Two Racist, Homophobic, Misogynistic Men. Gimme a break…if these two dudes would watch the show, they’d realize it’s making God more relatable and is all about taking responsiblity for your own actions, not blaming someone else. Besides, the “devil” that the AFA’s selling isn’t even in the bible. It’s all fan fiction.

See? This is what happens when you take fictional stories literally. If A Few Bored Housewives With Too much Time On Their Hands would learn to separate reality from fiction, they’d be much happier.
