As fans are still in the limbo with the season finale of “Lucifer” in Season One, many are wondering about whom will be casting to play as the bad ass mother of Lucifer, played by Tom Ellis, who escaped the gates of Hell. Rumors are swelling that Courtney Cox and Madeleine Stowe are considered to land the pivotal role.

Many insiders have stated that age should not be a determined factor in looking for an actress who will play as Lucifer’s mother, who for unknown reasons as well have escaped the gates of Hell and possibly has gone to wreck havoc in Los Angeles City. Her charisma should be much darker than that of Lucifer and uncanny abilities as well that will drive even Amenadiel crazy about how will they send her back to Hell.
At age 51, Courtney Cox still has that “cougar” charm and the Alabama native who also rose to fame in the TV hit comedy series “F.R.I.E.N.D.S.” is no stranger to playing more mature roles such as Gale Weathers in the horror series “Scream,” and as Jules Cobb in the ABC/TBS sitcom “Cougar Town,” for which she earned her first Golden Globe nomination.
On the other hand, the 57-year old Madeleine Stowe is not far from the race to landing the villains role. She has delivered perfectly any given role from the film that she is included with such as “We were Soldiers,” “12 Monkey,” and the “General’s Daughter.” She also had her stint on TV playing as Victoria Grayson in the ABC drama series “Revenge,” for which she was nominated for the 2012 Golden Globe Award for the best Actress in a Television Series Drama category.

Of which of the two would be a welcomed addition to the already effective lineup of the cast such as Tom Ellis, Lauren German, D.B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Rachel Harris and Kevin Alejandro. Other actresses who are rumored to be in contention for the bad ass kicking, dark and evil mom include Vera Farmiga of “Bates Motel,” Gina Torres of “Suits,” Halle Berry of “Catwoman,” and Alexandra Daddario of “White Collar.”
Hopefully, Fox TV and the show runners could make their choice before or after Mother’s Day as it will be a big spill for the fans, who are looking forward to meeting Ellis’ wicked mother and why she escaped from Hell.

Ellis and the rest of the cast have been “blessed” as they were given another season by the big bosses from Fox TV and hopefully the second season would bring much more heat, twist and revelations to the family trees of Lucifer and that of Chloe (Lauren German).
