Nina Dobrev gets injured while filming ‘XXX’, ‘Vampire Diaries’ star on talk for ‘Flatliners’ remake

Nina Dobrev got injured and was still all smiles while filming the new XXX movie and she is now on talks for the remake of the 90’s film “Flatliners.”

Nina Dobrev did not seem to mind when she got injured while filming her latest flick “XXX: The Return of Xander Cage,” instead of shedding tears she posted it on Instagram with smile written all over her face. The 27-year old actress seems to take her injury as her baptism of fire while doing an action film that stars Vin Diesel.

The picture posted on her Instagram account shows a bloody scratch and bruises she got while doing a stunt for the film, which is set to release in January 2017. Dobrev did seem to mind the pain instead she looked happy and proud of it as seen in the picture.

“Film an action movie they said. It’ll be fine they said. Movies may not be real but this is. The things we do for our craft! But hey, the way I see it, it’s a small price to pay to get to do what you love! I’ve always wanted to be in an Action Movie… be careful what you wish for!” Dobrev said.

Aside from filming the new XXX film, Dobrev is also reported to be in talks to star in the remake of the 1990 science/thriller “Flatliners.” Dominic Pattern reports that Dobrev will play the role of “Marlo,” an overachiever, who is the top of her class. She will be with co-stars Ellen Page and Diego Luna.

The “Flatliners” remake will be directed by Niels Arden Oplev with Michael Douglas and Laurence Mark as producers while Ben Ripley will do the screenplay. The 1990’s film showcased a story of medical students seeking answers about the afterlife; it originally starred Kiefer Sutherland, Kevin Bacon, William Baldwin and Julia Roberts.

The story revolves around the student’s journey into the unknown, looking for meaning in their own lives. As the experiments become more dangerous, each of them is forced to contend with the paranormal consequences of trespassing on the other side.
