Looks like problems are mounting for “Pawn Stars” actor Chumlee also known as Austin Lee Russell as rumors are swelling that the 33-year old actor is broke following his cases in court as he is now selling his shoe collection on eBay.
It would be remembered that authorities went to Chumlee’s house in Las Vegas last March 9 to investigate a sexual charge against him by one of the show’s staff. But when police searched the house they found drugs and firearms as well. He was then arrested and is set for a court appearance scheduled for May 23 and will face 20 felony counts, including drug and weapons charges not including the sexual assault case.
Aside from the cases filed against him, Chumlee was even told to go off the grid in social media. His last post on Twitter was on March 7 with the post telling fans and followers that he is selling his shoe collection on eBay. He was also told to stay away from the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop and they cut ties with him after he clears his name in court.
However, Chumlee’s lawyers David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld told TMZ that they are still looking at the evidence allegedly found inside their client’s house and will do all the necessary arrangement to prepare themselves for the legal battle ahead of them.
“We will be analyzing what was allegedly found and whether the alleged seizure was lawful in a courtroom, not in the media. Austin (Chumlee’s real name) has great faith in the judicial system, as do we, and looks forward to a just resolution of this matter,” the lawyers stated.
There were even rumors circulating that Chumlee was fired from the show, though no official statement has been given yet by both Reality Television and the Harrisons, who owns Gold and Silver Pawn Shop. According to Naughty Gossip, a source stated that the firing of Chumlee from the show stemmed from the sexual complaint of one of the staff from Gold and Silver Pawn Shop adding that the drugs and the firearms charge just aggravated the situation.
“Chumlee of Pawn Stars has been fired from the show. He has been told to remain silence on social media and not go to the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. The show wants nothing to do with him until this matter is settled in court,” the source said out of anonymity.
As Reality Television and the Harrisons are keeping their silence over the matter, Chumlee’s best friend Corey Harrison broke his silence and posted on his social media account defending his friend.
“Don’t Believe Everything You Hear. There Are Always Three Sides To A Story, Yours, Theirs And The Truth,” Corey stated on Instagram.
Corey and Chumlee’s friendship dates back even before the filming of the show with the latter receiving a job in the store when he turned 21.
