“Prison Break” Season 5 spoilers revealed new terrorism-themed series to take place in Yemen dealing with ISIS and ISA. Dominic Purcell, the lead star playing as Lincoln Burrows, revealed details on the next season.
He said in an interview with Deadline that Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) will be expected to appear after his presumed death.
“It’s tying into what’s going on in the world today with terrorism. The show is taking place in Yemen; we’re dealing with ISIS and ISA, and obviously we left off with Michael presumably dead. He wasn’t, he ended up working for this organization,” Purcell said.
He added, “It got to the point where he couldn’t do it anymore, and they threw him in a jail in Yemen to change his mind. He didn’t change his mind, they set him up.”
Purcell also teased fans on what they should not miss with “Prison Break” season 5 which will air in the early 2017 on Fox. He mentioned about extraordinary, riveting, high-tension thriller like “Bourne Identity” and “American Sniper.”
In addition, he acknowledged Paul Scheuring and the writers team’s crazy, extraordinary nine episodes.
Meanwhile, Dominic Purcell stated it’s not his first time to have on-set injuries. In fact, with one of the episode filming, he pooped a bone in his shoulder. He explained injuries seemed to be normal since he’s a sports kind of guy.
He shared, “I played rugby league for most of my life – I’ve broken legs, I’ve broken arms, I broke my nose when I was 15. Dislocated that, popped my ACL. I’m a physical guy.”
However, on his recently fatal injury he got while filming in Morocco was something beyond level. Purcell added, “I love sport, I box; I’m kind of used to getting bashed around, but certainly nothing like this has happened. That kind of injury was something on another level.”
Purcell thought he would die in the “Prison Break” season 5 filming accident.
“It wasn’t like someone was slowly cutting my arm kind of pain; it was this sudden explosion I dropped to my knees, and I was in shock,” he revealed. He added, “I expected that I was either going to black out or die, because in my brain, when he said my skull was showing, I just assumed that my skull cracked, and blood was going to go into my brain, and I was going to f***ing die in Morocco. I thought I was going to die.”
Dominic Purcell confirmed he is already physically fine.
