The World Heavyweight Championship victory means that Triple H will begin his first championship reign since 2009. This is his 14th World Title and he currently lags Ric Flair’s world record by 2.
The victory will mean a lot for Triple H. The game was put out of commission by Roman Reigns after his loss to Sheamus due to the interference from the League of Nations. Hence, this was a sweet revenge for Triple H over Reigns.
It will now be very interesting to see how the storyline progresses as the Road to WrestleMania 32 gets even more interesting.
One might find a similarity of Triple H’s victory with the one in WrestleMania 30 where he was due to face Daniel Bryan. That rivalry did build up a huge hype and gave Daniel Bryan superstardom.
The present story could take a similar mold and if it does, it will prove beneficial for Reigns’ career.
Many might argue that Triple H doesn’t need another World Championship at this point of his career. But, it has to be noted, that if the present storyline is booked properly, this can go a long way into cementing Roman Reigns’ position as the top guy of the company once and for all.
