EW managed to interview executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, who stated that the team up does not mean a turf war between the cousins. Rather, both heroes heard the news and show up at the same time to resolve a crisis.

In the season premiere trailer, Kent explains to his boss at the Daily Planet that he will be submitting his article at the deadline. As he was doing this, news about an explosion on a passenger craft named “The Venture” with over 200 people on board. TV stations pleaded that if he or she has seen the news that they would come to their aid.

Immediately both heroes spring into action to aid the craft calling for mayday as they are about to crash. As the pilots try to maneuver the craft, Supergirl arrives and tries to stop the craft from making a crash landing. At the same time, her cousin Superman arrives with a greeting and gives his cousin a hand in securing the craft.

No updates about how long Superman will stay and team up with his cousin but Kreisberg tells that both heroes will try to help one another. Kreisberg added that the season will also show how the two will spend time with each other and deal with the sense of being different from others.

“They haven’t really gotten a chance to spend time together, especially since she’s come out as Supergirl, and they both want that,” Kreisberg says. “Both of them have a bit of sadness about them — they both have that sense of feeling alone, they both have that sense of feeling different — and both remark that loneliness, that alienation, that isolation goes away when they are together.”

Nobody knows what happened next as the teaser is to spike up the viewer’s excitement when Supergirl Season 2 returns. The CW has renewed the show and will premiere on Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. The show will follow the encore of “No Tomorrow.”
