According to the latest Supernatural Season 12 spoilers, there is a high chance that the Winchester Brothers leave the show after its season finale. With that said, the cancellation rumors remain an existing issue.
Although The CW’s head Mark Pedowitz has already affirmed to create another season of the American hit Supernatural series and has debunked the earlier cancellation rumors. In fact, Mishal Collins, who played the role as Castiel, a fallen angel that suffered from Lucifer’s full control, told details about the series and its potential spoilers.
However, recent news mentioned about Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki’s retirement after 11 years of performing as Dean and Sam Winchester respectively. With that said, Pedowitz could decide the show’s end if the two lead actors confirm their leaving.
“If they can keep delivering stories, and the number [keeps] holding, and the guys [Ackles and Padalecki] want to do it, we’re going to keep going. I can’t tell you if there will be a season 12 yet. I can’t tell you if there will be a season 15 yet. I can’t tell you if it won’t outlast my tenure at The CW. My guess is it will outlast me,” he explained.
Despite the rumors on the Winchester Brothers’ leaving the show after its 12th season, both Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki implied they are not quitting. They told Variety that they both love the show as well as their writers and their roles. In fact, they mentioned that they felt excitement to do the roles towards the end of their filming season.
Pedowitz has also told the same source during the Television Critics Association winter press tour that the two lead actors made an impressive performance when portraying their characters as the Winchester Brothers.
Their stunning portrayal, while hunting the evil forces, became part of Supernatural series’ success. The CW head based his assumption from Supernatural’s impressive television ratings since it aired in 2006. The show was first aired on The WB in 2005.
