Veteran actor Sylvester Stallone falls prey to yet another death rumor this year. The 70-year-old movie star had been the target of a death hoax before and is only one of the many Hollywood celebrities who share the same experience.
According to Morning Ledger, the Sylvester Stallone death hoax issue is not the first among celebrities, others such as Angelina Jolie, Stan Lee, Rowan Atkinson, Jackie Chan, Carlos Santana, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Jaden Smith, have had the same experience of a viral death hoax news.
Although Sly had already responded to the rumors, many still seem to believe that the actor is already dead. Stallone even posted a recent photo on social media just to prove that he is very much alive and healthy.
The news site also reported that a conspiracy theory began to circulate about Sly having a body double who was made to cover up his death. Rumor said that the actor’s Instagram account is filled with his body double’s photos and not of the actor himself. Icons such as Elvis Presley and Paul McCartney have also gotten their fair share of conspiracy theories before. They were believed to have faked their own deaths and had body doubles take their place.
Morning News USA also posted that according to reports, the Sylvester Stallone death hoax started from a website that was made to look like CNN. Upon clicking the said link, it will take the readers to a page that is already notorious for spreading false stories.
The clickbait website talked about Sly’s eldest son, Sage, with his first wife. Sage died last 2012 from a heart attack.
