Top Gun actor Tom Cruise and ex-wife Katie Holmes have been divorced since July 2012, but since New York law requires all divorce documents remain sealed, and with the exact settlement terms unavailable to the public, rumors continue to flourish regarding the former couple, dragging Jamie Foxx along with it.
It was rumored that their union was set up by Tom Cruise’s religion Scientology with David Miscavige, the head of the church, serving as the best man.
Ironically, Katie Holmes cited Scientology as one of the main reasons she divorced Tom Cruise, to protect their daughter Suri Cruise from her husband’s religious beliefs and practices.

According to a report by Fox News Scientology is also keeping the actor from visiting her daughter since Suri Cruise and Katie Holmes are now deemed as non-believers.
Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have been seeing each other for quite a while now, but neither of them is willing to formalize their relationship.
This secrecy has spawned theories to surface that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have decided to keep their relationship because “Katie signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him or Scientology, or publicly dating another man for 5 yrs. after the divorce,” a source claimed, as reported by Radar Online.
However, many find this conjecture to be unfounded, or even ridiculous. Are those settlements even legal if true?
But why hasn’t the Mission Impossible actor been in a serious relationship since he parted ways with Holmes?
According to a report by Movie News Guide Tom Cruise is rumored to be still in love with his ex-wife, and news of Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx seeing each other distresses him.
The reason he hasn’t remarried or been in a serious relationship since Kate left him is that he was expecting his ex-wife would realize her mistakes and come running back to him.
Cruise is a very influential figure in the entertainment industry, which worries Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx. If they decide to go public or decide to marry, they fear Tom Cruise would interfere with their careers through his connections and strong influence. Thus, leaving the couple with not much of a choice but to remain low key.
