American actor Tom Hanks has gone a long way to be ranked as the fourth highest all-time box office star in the U.S. Worldwide as his films have grossed over $8.5 billion.
He is widely perceived to be congenial to his fans, and is known for his collaborations with director Steven Spielberg in movies like Saving Private Ryan, Catch Me If You Can, and in Bridge Of Spies.
Tom Hanks progression to the dramatic roles has made him elevate his acting career late into the 80s, to be taken more seriously for his versatility, and now as among one of the best there is, and into international acclaim.
According to a report by Just Jared Tom Hanks and Aaron Eckhart traveled to Japan to promote his latest movie Sully. He’s been very busy promoting his latest film, in fact, he’s been extremely busy for the past years with all the success he’s had with his projects.
At 60 years of age, one has to wonder if he’s ever thinking of slowing down for even just a tad.
Amidst all the success in his career, which of course has brought him international fame and affluence, one wonders about his personal life, his family being left out while he’s just about everywhere working on something new.
According to a report by Radar Online, Tom Hanks likes to work real hard as a guise for his marital problems.
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were married in 1988, and rumors are starting to surface about a possible split. Could it be possible that Rita Wilson has been left out for too long, while Hanks buries himself at work?
Apart from career over family concerns, the Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are also rumored to be in dispute with how to deal with their son Chester Marlon “Chet” Hanks. The elder of their two sons is said to be spiraling out of control due to drug and alcohol abuse.
Tom Hanks isn’t unfamiliar with drugs himself, and said, “I thought, I can’t be a responsible parent and do this. This has got to stop. This is not good. It put not just me but the people I loved in a degree of danger.”
Rita Wilson feels Tom Hanks can be overbearing with her, but incidentally becomes an enabler to their son Chet for being to soft with him. She feels a tough love approach is most appropriate in dealing with it, but Tom allegedly disagrees.
Apparently, if true, this is a problem the couple must deal with utmost priority. However severe, it may all be a phase in their family that could be overcome with love, patience, and mutual cooperation, and hopefully this shall be the case.
