Word Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar Daniel Bryan is currently in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is set for a World of Wheels appearance and autograph signing. He was rumored to attend WWE medical under Dr. Joseph Maroon (who monitors WWE’s Wellness Policy).
Daniel Bryan has been recovering from a serious concussion injury, since last April. WWE’s Wellness Policy doesn’t risk any wrestlers’ lives who have serious concussion problems. Daniel Bryan was rumored to visit Dr. Maroon regarding the issue, discussing his future with the company, according to PWInsider.com.
However, Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer stated his views on Twitter regarding the situation.
“No, that story is incorrect. He’s got an appearance booking in PA.” Meltzer tweeted.
Daniel Bryan has previously stated that his personal doctors have cleared him to return to wrestling. However, Dr. Maroon is reportedly not happy to clear the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, given his history with concussions.
Given WWE’s track record with their pay-per-view event Royal Rumble, it may not be shocking to see Daniel Byran make a surprise entry into the event. Previously, superstars like John Cena, Triple H and Edge have all made glorious returns in the company’s premier event of the year.
With over nine months of absence from WWE television, one might believe that Bryan’s music may play out during the 30-man Royal Rumble main event. It surely will bring a massive pop at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
Bryan has been the most popular wrestler for the company after John Cena. Bryan’s baby face character is so popular that other wrestlers pitted against him have faced the wraths of WWE fans. Batista earned boos in 2014 while Roman Reigns received the same treatment after winning the Royal Rumble in 2015.
It’s been a long time since WWE fans have experienced Bryan. They will hope that the company will offer Bryan a quick resolution regarding his future.
