The latest installment of The Walking Dead is just under a month away, and now AMC has recently released an official synopsis that will make fans crave for more.
Things were too good for too long on The Walking Dead. The survivors of the zombie apocalypse found a secured place where they can start to rebuild their lives but they did not count on finding other groups of survivors that would change everything.
The hit AMC post-apocalyptic zombie drama is returning to the small screens for the 7th season next month. Thankfully, an official synopsis has been released to whet the appetites of the fans waiting to see again their favorite characters in the most watched show in television.
Here is the official synopsis as provided by ComicBook.com:
“Up until this point, our characters have lived through conflicts… Disease, hunger, scores of the undead, tragedy, betrayal, and unthinkable loss. Through this, they’ve become formidable. Powerful. Unstoppable.
To start Season Seven, that power is taken away. They had found safety and stability. They had created a home. They thought the world was theirs. They thought they knew the world. They were wrong.
The first half of Season Seven sees our group fractured, broken, bereaved, and picking up the pieces while living under the thumb of oppression. Negan will have successfully brought the survivors under his control, brutally convincing them to live under his rules with a deadly and horrific example of what happens if they don’t.
Other characters are unaware of what’s happened, but have become separated from the group either by incident or choice — they will learn that they can’t escape this new turn of their world, either. This half season is about these characters starting over.
The overall theme of the season is beginning again. The world isn’t what they thought it was. It’s bigger and it’s even more dangerous. “
Although there is no clear indication on who will Negan beat to death following the shocking scenes from the last season, the synopsis did reveal on what is going to happen to Rick’s group in the upcoming season. Along with Alexandria and the Hilltop Colony, fans get to see Negan’s Saviours and the introduction of Ezekiel’s The Kingdom as the different communities of survivors.
The upcoming season’s story will revolve around with these communities leading to what comic book readers know as the All Out War. In the meantime, fans will have to wait for The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere on Oct 23.
