WWE “2k17” hits the shelves within the next six months. The game addicts will be able to burn the fingers taking control of their favorite wrestlers. However, before the super-hit game gets released, one thing will certainly hit the internet by storm. Who will the cover star be? Dean Ambrose seems to be leading the race, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

The 2016 version of the game saw Texas rattlesnake Stone Cold Steve Austin make the cut as the cover superstar. This was because Steve Austin was featured as the central character of the 2k17’s storyline mode.

In 2015, it was the ultimate baby face of the company John Cena starring in the cover of the game. The game was split into multiples short storylines than an in-depth mode.

Since its inception WWE games used to feature computerized versions of its superstars as the games cover. However, after 2K and WWE forged a partnership, real images of the biggest names in the industry has been featured on its cover.

The same thing is expected to happen this year. Although 2k hasn’t officially announced any names who are likely to make the cut into its front cover, Ambrose seems to be the main guy leading the pack within the WWE. However, let us take a look into the other candidates who have a possibility to leapfrog the Lunatic Fringe.

WWE is trying hard to push Roman Reigns as the next big baby face of the company. Featuring in the cover of its 2k17 game may be one of its steps.

4) Brock Lesnar

Having Brock Lesnar on its cover would give the game an instant boost in its sales. Considered as the most legit superstar on the current WWE roster, Lesnar featuring on the cover and having a major role in the storyline could make the game a huge success

3) Shane McMahon

Seeing Shane McMahon return on WWE television has been surprising as well as refreshing. The possibility of having the junior McMahon on the game’s cover cannot be ruled out.

2) Seth Rollins

Donning the WWE world heavyweight championship belt for a long time before getting injured, Rollins is probably one of the few names the company considers to be amongst its elite group of performers. Hence, he could certainly feature as the main guy in 2k17.

1) The Undertaker

Finally, The Undertaker could be considered as a major possibility of featuring on this year’s 2k17 cover since the upcoming WrestleMania 32 might be the last time the Dead Man will feature as a wrestler.
