Word Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has given a possible hint at who could be taking on The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32. It could be someone who is “not on the roster right now”.
The Undertaker will probably be featuring in his last match for the WWE at WrestleMania 32. Given the dead man’s legendary status with both the company and its fans, it’s likely that the bout will feature a monumental name.
Sting and Goldberg are the possible candidates who could headline the “granddaddy of them all” against The Undertaker.
Some of the names who have been ruled out as the possible opponents are John Cena, Braun Strowman, Kevin Owens and Brock Lesnar. WWE are more inclined towards pitting a name which is “not on the roster right now” as reported by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
“Someone who is not an active wrestler is what I was told. Which made me think Sting. I mean, I don’t know if that’s who it is, I mean, who else is there out there?” Meltzer stated.
There are also speculations surrounding the former World Championship Wrestling (WCW) legend Bill Goldberg coming into the fray. However, considering his relationship with WWE, a legendary matchup with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 seems unlikely to happen.
It will be interesting to see whom WWE selects as The Undertaker’s final opponent. The most likely scenario will see the dead man winning his final bout, which will make the choice interesting considering which part-timer will want to lose?
However, losing against The Undertaker at WrestleMania is also considered as a monumental feat within the WWE and the sports entertainment industry.
