WWE: Roman Reigns set to miss WrestleMania following surgery after Triple H attack?

Roman Reigns recently underwent a surgery in Tampa, Florida, to mend his broken nose which he suffered against Triple H on Raw.

Roman Reigns is set to headline WrestleMania 32 opposite Triple H for the World Wrestling Federation (WWE) World Heavyweight Championship title. However, Reigns suffered a shattered nose at the hands of The Game on the recently concluded episode of Raw.

“Roman underwent nasal reconstruction surgery, which consisted of a deviated septum that was fixed and realigned. He also had a turbinate that was also fixed as well as a reduction of a nasal fracture.” Dr. Chris Amann, Senior Ringside Physician of WWE said to WWE.com.

Dr. Amann is unsure of when the No. 1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Title will return. This leaves question marks on Roman Reigns appearance at the upcoming WrestleMania 32.

Looking at the condition of Reigns, it doesn’t seem likely that he will be in a good physical state for the championship match. However, It will be interesting now to see how WWE progress with the storyline.

Considering WWE has an alleged past of faking injuries to enhance storylines, it will not be surprising to see this as an angle in the Reigns vs. Triple H feud. If this is indeed a storyline angle, then it has to be said that WWE is playing their cards right.

Creating a personal rivalry between both the superstars will create a tension that will surely boost pay-per-view sales. Considering major superstars like John Cena and Randy Orton missing the upcoming Mania due to injuries, the current angle may create a good momentum for the company heading towards WrestleMania 32.
