One of the most surprising talents that auditioned in X Factor UK 2016 this week was Ivy Grace Paredes from the Philippines, who successfully earned four ‘yes’ votes from the judges. At the same time, she received hugs from Dermot O’Leary and Simon Cowell.
Following the success of the impressive 4th Power that blown Wembley last year, another Filipino followed their footsteps and took the stage through performing her own version of Whitney Houston’s “All the Man that I Need.”
Her own rendition of the song certainly blown the judges off as Ivy Grace Paredes incredibly stunned the four judges Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne with her presentation.
Her long-hour travel from the Philippines guaranteed a sweet taste of success in the auditions. She came from Malaybalay, Bukidnon, Philippines (part of Mindanao) and traveled as far as the UK to pursue her dreams and make a name in the world music industry. For her, the earlier girl band 4th Power gave her inspiration to reach her goals in music and it’s not too late to start pursuing it at her age.
In addition to what she said, Ivy Grace wished to do all these things for the sake of her two-year-old daughter, who’s currently staying in her hometown for the meantime she’s auditioning in the UK.
After her unbelievable and jaw-dropping performance, Nicole Scherzinger told her that “She just sang our faces off, pretty much.” Ivy Grace also didn’t fail to impress Louis Walsh. Out of overwhelm, he literally described her as a “little diva,” while Simon Cowell said only one word, “incredible” all throughout the audition. But later, he explained that she’s one of the best performers in the auditions so far.
Generally, the Filipino contestant received four yeses from the judges in the audition, which means Ivy Grace will go straight to the Boot Camp. For now, she has to wait for other contestants in the next round, while the auditions are still ongoing.
