Liverpool vs. Roma 2016 live stream, kickoff time, team news, preview at St. Louis

Liverpool delivered an exciting performance against Italian Serie A side, AC Milan in Santa Clara showcasing the traditional Jurgen Klopp style of football their fans expect to see. The Reds would like to continue the same performance against Roma in St. Louis on Monday. Klopp and his men will like to get into groove before taking on Arsenal in the English Premier League opener in two weeks’ time.

Klopp has mentioned that he will make changes to the lineup which faced Milan. The match against Roma will be played at St. Louis’ 47,000-capacity Busch Stadium. It could see the unofficial debut appearance for the 39-year-old Alex Manninger, who will be the backup goalkeeper to Simon Mignolet for the Reds during the opening weeks of the season.

The main position which could give headache for the former Borussia Dortmund manager is the center-back. Liverpool has allowed Martin Skrtel and Kolo Toure to leave this summer and Mamadou Sakho, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez are currently recovering from injuries. This has left Klopp with very little options at the back.

“Monday is the next game. We have a little bit of problem at center-half, they always have to play and we have to see how we can find a solution for this game. All the rest, we can have different options.” Klopp said, as reported by

Liverpool’s encounter against Roma is not a part of the International Champions Cup (ICC) tournament the Reds have been a part of.  The Italian Serie A giants are coming to North America to get involved in a couple of friendlies.

The Giallorossi will be lacking match fitness and will be less sharper than their counterparts. Pre-season has not been kind for the Italian giants as they have lost their main playmaker Miralem Pjanic to rivals Juventus. They also lost their key defender, Mario Rui though an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.

There is some good news for Roma though. Important midfielder, Kevin Strootman is returning back to his first pre-season for the club in three years. The Dutchman has suffered several injuries to his knee in recent seasons, which has halted his progress as a player.

Thanks for the update. PS. that stadium picture is out of date. They demolished that Busch Stadium 10 years ago and replaced it with a new one.
