The Oklahoma City Thunder surprised the Golden State Warriors in the opening game of the Western Conference Finals and have a chance to go 2-0 before the best-of-series moves to OKC for the next two games. Can Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and company upset Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green again for the second straight game?
The Thunder won, 108-102 after coming back down from from a huge lead from a Warriors team that struggled in the second half and the fourth quarter of Game 1.
Both Durant and Westbrook struggled from the field last Monday but led the team with 26 and 27 points, respectively. Both OKC superstars also had double-doubles with Durant adding 10 rebounds and 3 steals while Westbrook had 12 assists and 7 steals.
The Warriors’ “Splash Brothers” Curry and Thompson had 26 and 25 points, respectively and Draymond Green added 23 points but the team only scored 14 points in the crucial fourth quarter when OKC got the lead in the comeback win.
