Brock Lesnar vs Bill Goldberg has not been officially announced yet, but with the recent reveal that the WCW legend will make his way as a WWE 2K17 pre-order exclusive DLC, it looks like fans will have the opportunity of making the fight happen.
Wrestling fans were ecstatic to hear the arrival of the 49-year-old Goldberg in WWE 2K17 especially since the console versions of WWE’s latest licensed video games will finally hit stores today (Oct. 11,2016) promising the largest roster of WWE and NXT superstars in franchise history and boasting many features added.
According to WWE, players who pre-ordered WWE 2K17 will receive two playable characters of Goldberg – one during his time in WWE and the other during his WCW tenure, as well as playable WCW Monday Nitro and Halloween Havoc arenas.
However, fans who pre-ordered the two-time world champ could not seem to find him on the game. Most of the fans who experienced the dilemma took to forums about the missing Goldberg despite their downloads.
Luckily, GameFAQs has a solution to these problems as a thread was created to address the missing Goldberg in the downloads. Numerous methods were given to gamers that may bring Goldberg to their roster. Some involve tinkering with the game while others have to email WWE and do some heavy duty talking.
Players have to go to the Downloads area of the game and click the “Waiting to Install” along Goldberg. Then, they have to manually download and install the WCW legend’s data. Wait for it to finish and Goldberg will be in the roster.
Gamers who pre-ordered the pack in retailers such as Amazon have their codes sent via email. Those who did not receive any email or codes have to send an email to their retailers or call their tech support and ask for a code.
Playstation 4 players have to go to the Download List on the Playstation Store and manually download Goldberg to their consoles. Xbox One gamers can go to the Manage Game segment of their Games section and find the Goldberg pack.
However, if none of these methods work as these are not surefire methods to all who are experiencing the problem, sadly, the only solution would be is to call or email the retailer or WWE regarding the matter. Luckily, the game may offer a fix for the problem.
