Giants top Panthers in a 36-7 blowout victory
On Thursday Night Football, the New York Giants defeated the Carolina Panthers in a 36-7 blowout victory.
The stars of this game were Giant’s running back Andre Brown, quarterback Eli Manning and wide receiver Ramses Barden.
The two times super bowl champion had himself a safe and easy game as he completed 27 of his 35 passes for 288 yards, and one touchdown, according to SB Nation.
Brown was drafted 129th overall in the 2009 draft but so far has failed to produce high numbers. As a result, five different teams waived Brown.
But finally, Brown got his chance as he was replacing for the injured Ahmad Bradshaw and he did not disappoint. During the Panthers game, Brown ran for a career high of 113 yards and was able to get two touchdowns, according to the AP.
Like Brown, Barden was replacing for the injured Hakeem Nicks and had himself a good game. Drafted in 2009 by the Giants, Barden had his first career start and caught nine passes for a career high of 138 yards.
The Giants are now 2-1, while the Panthers fall 1-2.
