Harden and Parsons lead Rockets over Knicks
A key matches up on Friday was the Houston Rockets’ Jeremy Lin facing against his former team, the New York Knicks. Lin wasn’t the star in the game, though as Rockets James Harden and Chandler Parsons lead the team in their 131-103 win.
Right before the half, the Knicks went on a 11-2 run to cut the lead down to 51-50 with only five and a half minutes remaining. The Rockets then fought back with their own 16-3 run led by Harden.
In the third, the Rockets were already up by 10 but went on another 11-0 run to give them a 94-73 lead, clinching the win.
Harden finished with 33 points and nine assists while Parsons added his career best high of 31 points, according to SportingNews NBA.
In the third quarter, the Rockets were up by 10 thanks to Lin’s three point shot.
After the game, Knicks’ head coach Mike Woodsen commented on his team’s performance to The New York Daily News, saying, “They beat us in every way you can beat a team. I know you can have games like this over the course of the year, but this is unacceptable. An awful, awful performance on our part.”
