Indiana Pacers win against Chicago Bulls in close game
It has been a tough season for the Chicago Bulls without Derrick Rose. Sunday they played the Indiana Pacers and lost 97-92 while Rose sat in the front row.
It is not certain if Rose will be sitting on the sidelines regularly, reports the Chicago Tribune.
The Bulls had a couple of chances but could not get the shots to go in. While the win gave the Pacers a boost, having Rose there for the loss made it hurt that much more for the Bulls and their fans.
Joakim Noah said, “I know it’s tough for him to be on the bench because I know how badly he wants to play. It feels good to have him out there.”
For the Indiana Pacers it was David West and George Hill who led in scoring with 31 and 21 points respectively. Indiana has now won six out of seven games since the All-Star break, according to the Associated Press.
It was Marco Belinelli and Jimmy Butler who led the Bulls with 20 points each. In the fourth quarter, the Bulls finally tied up the game but could not keep the lead after the Pacers turned two turnovers into four more points.
The Bulls can be proud of how well they played and how close they got considering they were missing some crucial players. Derrick Rose traveled to Indiana to watch his team play but Richard Hamilton stayed in Chicago with a lower back injury. Taj Gibson also sat out with a knee injury.
