According to NFL.com, Watt has been asking Texans head coach Gary Kubiak to let him lineup on offense for the team.

“I’ve been lobbying since Day 1,” Watt said. ”It hasn’t worked yet, so I don’t think it’s going to work anytime soon, but it’s (Kubiak’s) team.”

According to ESPN.com, Kubiak has been working on a goal line offense that includes Watt to be lined up with Tight Ends Owen Daniels and Garrett Graham.

Watt went to Central Michigan to play tight end but switched to defense when he transferred to Wisconsin.Watt lined up at wide receiver for one play at last year’s Pro Bowl and he also catches passes from the JUGS machine with the wide receivers at practice.

Watt was the Associated Press’ defensive player of the year. He recorded a league-best 20.5 sacks for the Texans last season.
