Jordan Crawford traded to Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics have had some tough luck with injuries. The team as held up fairly well since having their star player Rajon Rondo out for the rest of the season. On Thursday, the team made a trade with the Washington Wizards for Jordan Crawford.
The Celtics traded Leandro Barbosa and Jason Collins to receive Crawford, ESPN reports.
Crawford had been unhappy and there was some negative vibes between him and the Wizards. Crawford will most likely take Barbosa’s place in the roster. Barbosa is out for the remainder of the season due to a torn ACL. Collins has not played much for the Celtics and will not be a major loss.
This season, Crawford has been averaging 13.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. He has only started in 12 of the Wizards games this is due to John Wall returning to the court.
The Associated Press reports that Wall’s return is what upset Crawford. He has been upset to the point of throwing his jersey to show his frustration.
The Wizards have just picked up two expiring contracts. Both Barbosa and Collins will be free agents after this year.
