Knicks-Heat preview: Carmelo Anthony ruled out for weekend
New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Miami Heat as well as Saturday in Houston against the Rockets. He is suffering from a lingering pain in his left wrist and right thumb.
The New York Daily News is reporting that Anthony will miss both games due to the injury.
The Knicks are struggling even with Carmelo Anthony in the lineup. The team lost six in a row before they beat the Bobcats, but then they lost by 10 to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Miami Heat could be without Dwayne Wade for a seventh straight game due to an ankle injury. Despite not having one of its star players in the lineup Miami has found success on the court NBA.com reports that the Heat have given up an average of 91.8 points while winning in five of their last six games.
The Heat and the Knicks split the four games between them. The Knicks won the final two meetings while the Heat won the first two. Chris Bosh dominated the Knicks in the last three games against the Knicks. He averaged 21 points and 9.7 rebounds.
The Knicks are struggling offensively and without Carmelo Anthony another loss could be in the future for the Knicks.
