LeBron James dominates as Heat defeat Lakers 99-90 (Video)

Lebron James delivered a great game Thursday night, helping the Miami Heat beat the Los Angeles Lakers 99-90 at the Staples Center.

The Associated Press reports that LeBron James had 39 points while Dwayne Wade had 27 points in a game that marked the Lakers’ seventh loss in nine games.

It was possibly James’ best game against the Lakers yet, adding eight assists and seven rebounds to his game. His performance is highlighted in the video below.

Kobe Bryant had 22 points, scoring 13 of those in the fourth quarter, where it looked like the Lakers were on their way to a possible rally. But the Heat, who won the NBA Championship last year, proved to be the stronger team and were able to hold off the Lakers.

“It was very important for us,” James said, according to USA Today. “We want to continue to get better and end this trip on the right foot. This was a good, quality win.”

The two teams will next face each other Feb. 10 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami.
